Job Overview and Qualifications:
Tri-Axle (Manual Transmission) Class B drivers are responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks equipped with three axles and manual transmissions. These professionals ensure the safe and efficient transport of materials, such as construction aggregates, asphalt, or other bulk goods. At minimum, drivers must possess a valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) and demonstrate proficiency in handling manual gear shifts, navigating various road conditions, and adhering to all safety regulations.
Key qualifications include a clean driving record, knowledge of DOT requirements, and experience with tri-axle vehicles. Physical stamina, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are also essential for success in this role.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ commercial driving experience, preferably with tri-axle vehicles
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Excellent spatial awareness and defensive driving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and handle physically demanding tasks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
